Book: Dark Matter by Blake Crouch

Are you happy with your life?

Another book! Yeay! Well, I love to read books, especially novel. This one is a science-fiction thriller. As its title tells, the story revolves around 'dark matter', which is a term in physics to something that has a particular condition which I am unable to describe since I'm not a physician.

Lol no. I'm just not feeling so well. I've got a sore throat since two days and flu. At the beginning I thought it was covid, but when the sore throat gone in two days and the flu remains for another three days I can breathe out without worry. So I guess I just can't write much this time.

Here's the book:

sorry for the background, could've found another table but yeah I was sick

The story is about a man, named Jason, who had a life as a professor teaching undergrad physics in a university. He has a life with an artistic wife , Dani, who really passionate in painting. A son Charlie who just turned fifteen and acts like another teens. The tale is about a normal daily life that Jason has, until something terrible happened. He found himself abducted by other version of himself.

The 'other' Jason was a result of physics phenomenon involving another world and the theory of The Schrodinger's Cat. In short, the other world where other version of Jason lives in was not the world where the real Jason lives. The 'other' Jason wanted to take away and switched his life with Jason's where in the other world Jason is a famous scientist and not married to Dani and thus no Charlie. The other version of Jason wanted to have the life where he is married and being with his love, and not as a scientist. Long story short, the real Jason struggled to take back his life through a fantastic journey where he repeatedly jumped to another versions of world where he met another more version of him.

In the end, Jason could take his life back. The moral from this story is that we must be grateful for what we have, since we don't know whether someday another version of ourselves would take away our lives, our loved ones, and other things. Lol, it sounds impossible but yeah, people hardly show their gratitude except after they lost what they have or love. Including me sometimes, though.

Anyway, this was an excellent novel if you are into sci-fi and love physics. I borrowed this book from my junior in campus. Now I feel like that I have to be grateful for knowing him, lol. Even after I've had a big conflict with him in the past. In the end, all those conflicts and problems in our life that made ourselves in the present.
